Now approaching its tenth season, the popular and successful Xtreme Juniors practice and tournament teams has now expanded to accommodate the 7 to 16 year old age group. This program is open to all players and does not require tryouts.
Xtreme Juniors is designed for players who are either new to the sport and want to learn about playing volleyball or the young athlete who want to continue pursuing and playing volleyball without the time commitment that club volleyball requires. There are no tryouts for this group and is open to all kids ages 7 to 16.
The primary goals of this program are to provide your child fundamental instructions on the various skills involved with volleyball but more importantly, for your child to develop a love for this fast growing sport and to have fun while doing so.
With our talented and supportive coaches, kids have thrived in our program. Not only will we work on motor skills and movement for younger players, but we will also focus on technical proficiency and developing a love for the sport. For our older players, coaches will teach offensive and defensive technique and tactics, and all players are given the opportunity to apply their skills in game like situations.
Xtreme Juniors meet once a week on Sunday starting the second weekend of January and runs for a total of 13 sessions to receive instructions from our coaches. At this level, it is important to develop strong fundamental skills. All players will be trained in a similar manner to develop the fundamentals.
In 2020, Xtreme Juniors tournament teams will play in 3 all day non-league tournaments through the Pacific AAU Volleyball League. All instructions are held at Hillsdale HS in San Mateo. All non-league tournaments will be offsite in the San Jose area.
This is a great way to keep your child involved in a weekly volleyball program without filling up your already busy schedule or breaking your wallet!
1. The cost to play on our Xtreme Juniors Practice team is $750.00 for the 13 week sessions. The cost will cover gymnasium and equipment rentals; coach's stipend; balls, cart, first aid kit; 1 practice t-shirt; overhead club costs; etc...
2. The cost to play on our Xtreme Juniors Tournament team with 3 day non-league tournaments is $1,000.00 for the 13 week sessions; players must be in the 5th grade or older to sign-up for this team. The cost will cover team registration through the Pacific AAU region; 1 practice t-shirt; 1 uniform t-shirt; gymnasium and equipment rentals; coach's stipend; balls, cart, first aid kit; overhead club costs; etc...
Practice Schedule
Xtreme Juniors will meet on Sunday starting on January 12, 2020 through April 5, 2020 at Hillsdale HS in San Mateo. The Practice teams for boys and girls, and the girls Tournament teams will practice from 3:00pm - 5:00pm.
Tournament Schedule: Saturday, February 1st, March 14th and April 11th.
